In this technology driven world, knowingly or unknowingly everyone is using virtual reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). But some of you have not recognized that it is so called VR & AR. Do wonder how and where? Do you want to know more about it? Here is your chance to get to know one of the fastest growing emerging technology. There are several ways to experience VR & AR and cost involved is from few hundreds to few thousand rupees. The aim of this workshop is to bring low cost VR to everyone who wants to explore this niche skill. Therefore, this workshop is divided in three parts i.e. theory sessions, hands-on demos and Do It Yourself (DIY) activity. This course will give you the fundamental knowledge of virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality and its applications to different fields. At the end of workshop you will walkout with your own VR device.

There is growing need of skilled VR & AR professionals from Industries, Academic / Research Communities. In order to cater these needs, this workshop is developed and delivered by Industry Expert Dr. Dattatraya Parle who was instrumental to establish VR & AR service offerings in one of the largest Indian IT organization. He was technical head of VR & AR Centre of Excellence at Engineering Infosys. He has won several awards and accolades for his innovative works during his 19 year career.

Pre-requisites: Participant should have smartphone with android version 4.1 or higher with gyroscope feature. Apple and other users please check compatibility.

How to check compatibility? Try installing Google Cardboard from Playstore. If you can install then you can join the fun filled workshop to begin new journey of VR & AR. And if you get a device incompatible message, you may not have a phone fitted with a gyroscope. In the second case you may not able to use VR on your phone.
